About us

Mito Tradición

The Extra Virgin Olive Oils from Mito Tradición are the result of a commitment in the small town towards sustainability through the implementation of environmentally friendly systems, the taste with early harvest and cold pressing, and our dedication in pursuit of excellence.

The olives used to produce Mito Tradición oil are harvested from olive groves located in the mountains, where traditional and new techniques are employed to care for the fruit and preserve the natural environment.

We craft a unique, exclusive product with a remarkable quality-to-price ratio that sets us apart from the rest.

Our procedure

Our oil is the result of a meticulous process of selecting hand-picked olives of the Picual and Cuquillo varieties, from our own olive grove.

Our grove is a local product, from the mountains of the Sierra del Segura in Albacete, where we have century-old olive trees that are traditionally grown, carefully tended to, and of great quality.

We harvest the olives in early November, during the period of highest fruit quality, and mill them directly from the harvest to the mill. The olives are transported twice a day in ventilated boxes to prevent them from heating up and to ensure that they are freshly milled.

Our oil is cold-pressed at room temperature, without heat, to preserve its analytical and organoleptic properties.
